5.13.2005For Sale: One Dying MallGot $3.5 million lying around somewhere? Why not buy Rolling Acres Mall? C'mon, you know you've always wanted your own mall.Troubled, half-empty Rolling Acres Mall is up for sale with an asking price of $3.5 million, and a local broker says she already has presented an offer to the mall's owner. If the current owner has such a great idea for the mall, why doesn't he just do it? Maybe he doesn't think it'll work and he wants to get the property off his hands. In any case, an open air thing might be sorta nice. Look at Crocker Park and Legacy Village. They're doin' alright. I don't think Rolling Acres can get the high end stores that they've got, but maybe a new look will revitalize the old space. I'd love to see it happen. Then I can wear my RCCC "Save Rolling Acres" shirt and reminisce about when the mall was dying. The BJ :: Rolling Acres fielding offers (joe :: For Sale: One Dying Mall) |
