Bill Gates on iPods:

"As good as Apple may be, I don't believe the success of the iPod is sustainable in the long run," he said in an interview published in Thursday's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

"You can make parallels with computers: Apple was very strong in this field before, with its Macintosh and its graphics user interface -- like the iPod today -- and then lost its position," Gates said.

I hate to admit it, but I can see where Bill's coming from. I mean, why do we have MP3 players now? Because they're a lot smaller then a CD player and a stack of discs. If you already have a cell phone, it'd be awesome to have it play MP3's too. I'd give up my MP3 player if my cell could hold 15 gigs of Devo. Apple did a great job of making MP3 players hot, but come on, that's just one more thing for me to carry around and (more then likely) lose.
