I've met with Sherrod before; he's a very nice guy, the kind of guy you want representing you. I'm a little sad to hear that he won't be running for Ohio Governer in '06, but at least he'll continue to do his part in the US House.

"I look at the work that I have been able to do and want to continue to do in Congress, especially issues like trade, issues like health care," Brown said in a conference call. [...]

"The governor's race was tempting and the job is exciting, I'm sure, but I love what I'm doing right now," Brown said, adding that he has no doubt that he would have won the gubernatorial race had he decided to enter.

"To run for governor, you have to put your hat in the ring and really, really want to be governor, and I really, really want to be a congressman," he said.

Gotta love a guy who loves his job. It's too bad, though, I think he could have done awesome things for Ohio.
