5.14.2005We're in SlateI got quoted in Slate yesterday. They quoted me on my thoughts of Billy Gates' views on iPods. But of course, the quote makes me sound like an idiot."I can see where Bill's coming from. I mean, why do we have MP3 players now?" asks Joe at Akron blog RubberBuzz. "Because they're a lot smaller then a CD player and a stack of discs. If you already have a cell phone, it'd be awesome to have it play MP3's too."I know cell phones can play MP3s. There was more to the quote that got cut off leaving me sounding like a backwater so-and-so who is still in awe of the cotton gin. The gist of my post come down to the fact that I just want my cell phone to be able to hold a solid week of music and not just a Madonna Megamix or two. Once that happens, I'll say so long to my MP3 player and hello to a bigger cell phone bill. So Slate, if you're out there and if you ever decide to put me in another post, please don't make me look like an idiot. I do a good enough job of that on my own.
