Why I Haven't Bought a House

I have bad luck. Generally, if something can go wrong for me it will. I'm pretty sure when I buy a house I'll end up with a situation like the Hoskins'.

You expect a lot of things when you buy a house.

Maybe some nasty, out-of-date carpet.

Perhaps a bad light fixture or two... some peeling wallpaper.

But how about a meth lab?

That's what happened to Jennifer and Chuck Hoskin when they purchased a Tallmadge Road home in December from Colleen Begue.

Two days before the Hoskins moved in, Begue, 43, was charged with running a meth lab out of the home.

I can't deal with a meth lab in my basement. I can't even handle mowing the yard. This is why I don't own a house. I think I need one of those new lofts going in over in Northside. That way it'll be nice and new and meth lab free.
