Yeah! Birds!

I like eagles. Scott of Scott's Backyard Forecast and I went to Akron Zoo a few years ago. The zoo had some really cool penguins and this really awesome goat who has since been nicknamed "Goat, Interrupted." Oh, and they had some eagles, too. Here's a pic Scott sent me of our feathered friends.

Our friend the eagle is an endangered species, but the good news is their numbers are on the rise.

...Ohio set a record with 125 eagle nests this year. That topped the record 108 nests in 2004.[...]

The successful nests include four with six chicks in the Akron area: two chicks at Lake Milton, two chicks at Killbuck Marsh in southern Wayne County, one chick along Tinkers Creek in Streetsboro and one chick at Lake Rockwell near Kent.
