Happy Fourth of July... well happy for those of us who aren't fighting a war or who don't have loved ones in a war or who don't know someone who has been lost to the war. During my pokings around on the Net today, I ran across a great site called Level 6 News. It's news dumbed down so a 6-year-old can grasp it. It made me laugh in a Daily Show with Jon Stewart kind of way. Here's their latest post for a sample of their fun site.

Democracy is ok if our boy wins
Once upon a time, the boss of the country decided to attack another country using a made-up excuse. When this made-up excuse was proven to be a lie, he made up another one. The latest (among others) in a long line of phoney-baloney excuses is that he wants to bring "democracy" to the middle east.

However, when the presidential election in Iran looked like producing a winner that our boss didn't really want, he started saying the election was being rigged. The election is now over and a different person was elected. However, our boss doesn't want that guy either and so he started a typical GOP-style smear campaign by digging up dirt from the past. Our boss has a lot to learn about democracy.

Ask your Mommy or Daddy if they think our boss is the last person who should be demanding explanations about past behaviour.
