Coping with Cancer

I've lost several people in my life to cancer. It's something that I still don't totally accept. These people were my friends, my family and my schoolmates. I can only image what it is like to have the disease. If you are coping with the disease or are having problems dealing with someone else's cancer, the American Cancer Society is having a series of free seminars in over in Fairlawn. Here's the info from The BJ:

To help, the American Cancer Society is offering its free I Can Cope educational program, starting Sept. 13 at Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W. Market St., Fairlawn.

All the sessions start at 6 p.m.

This is the schedule:

- Sept. 13 -- Cancer-Related Fatigue.

- Oct. 11 -- Communicating Concerns and Feelings.

- Nov. 15 -- Self-Esteem and Intimacy.

- Dec. 20 -- Keeping Well in Mind and Body.
