Busy Weekend

This weekend sure went by quickly. Maybe because I was passed out for most of it, but I was passed out for all of you RubberBuzzers out there. I was busy doing research for some new reviews. I went to see The Five Points Band at Kevin O'Bryan's and then I checked out Vatic Asylum at R/E Nightclub. Expect some reviews this week.

Weekend Fun at Kevin O'Bryan's!

Looking for something to do this weekend? Well, how about a night out at Kevin O'Bryan's at 1761 South Main Street? Stop by this Saturday night and get ready for St. Pat's Day with an Irish Music Extravaganza featuring The Five Points Band from 9:30 until 1:30. There will be Irish pub tunes and other crowd favorites, not to mention numerous pints, over this 4 hour set. Stop by, order a pint and be Irish for a night.

Dear World, I hate rss feeds.

After several hours of struggling, I think I have the rss feed working. If it isn't working, don't tell me. I'm sure I'll realize it, take this post down and pretend like I never even attepted to add it to this site. You'd think it would be easier. I mean Blogger builds it right into this site for me, but trying to get it to be useful for me and for all you Buzzers out there is a different beast all together. On the topic of rss feeds and blogs, I'm sure you're wondering why we have a blog on our homepage. Well, in the next few weeks we're going to start posting news stories from around Akron. We'll report on them in the our usual snarky manner.

Surprise!!!

We have 2 news things to announce! The Search function is now fully operational (that sounds so Death Star). Check it out and search for things. We also have a new directory of WiFi HotSpots around Akron. Now you can read RubberBuzz from these fine locales.

Events

The Events section is finally up. Just click on a day to see what's going on. Submit events to us and we'll post them for you within a week.

Just so everyone out there in bloggingland know, we're currently working on several more reviews, the Art section, the Shopping section and have plans for 3 new users guide (we're thinking Northside, Downtown and Quaker Square).

If anyone has any input, let us know.

Our First Reviews are Up

Check out our first two reviews: Country Diner and Fuel Lounge. We're working on a big group of them right now. Hopefully Monday or Tuesday there will be a big update. Lots of content and stuff. Also, we launched our Queer Users' Guide. Hopefully you'll like it.
