Akron Art DirectoryAkron Art ReviewsAkron InkPain Hate Pain Studios, 752 West Market Street, 330.374.0100 Before stepping into Pain Hate Pain Studios, I had been in exactly 3 tattoo parlors. I always felt weird in them; not because I’m not inked, but because they just gave off a strange vibe. Pain Hate Pain felt different. The bright colored walls were inviting and they were covered in art. It felt more like a gallery and less like tattoo and piercing studio. I have a deep fascination with tattooing and piercing. I’m always intrigued by the tattoo and body modification specials on The Discovery Channel and TLC, but I have no tolerance for pain. I paged through the books on the counter of the artists’ past works and I stared in amazement. Both the piercing book and the tattoo book were freaking awesome (I didn’t know you could get the back of your neck pierced). If you haven’t stopped by the shop, be sure to check it out. Pain Hate Pain is located in the little plaza in Highland Square where Two Turtles and H&R Block is located. The shop is awesome and is full of art and well worth your time. And when (if) I finally get up the nerve, it’ll be where I get a tattoo. Rockin' Body Art : Fear Factor : |
