Akron Bar ReviewsThere’s a Hole in the BucketBucket Shop, 816 West Market Street, 330.253.9336 The Bucket is an Akron institution. It’s been around for 70 years, but I’m terrified of it. I’m pretty sure it’ll be alright, but still I’m a little scared. Finally, one night on a bar crawl, I ended up at the door of The Bucket Shop. There are two doors to choose from when going in so the initial choice made me want to run, but I persevered. I walked in to hear… Britney Spears? Yes, that’s right, Britney Spears was blaring over the stereo. All of my fears were for nothing. I ordered a vodka tonic and was shocked when the bar tender pulled out a pint glass and let the Absolut flow. I approve of any bar that is willing to pour me a big glass of happy juice. I settled in for an hour and a half of fun and really enjoyed myself. There is an electronic dartboard by the bar that looked like fun, but I was too drunk and I didn’t want anyone to lose an eye. Since my first night at The Bucket, I’ve returned many a time to their strong drinks. It’s not my favorite bar in Highland Square, but it’s defiantly nice for a change of pace. I like starting my night here and moving throughout The Square. I get their big strong drinks and move on. Overall: 3 blimps. Overall Bar:
