Akron Bar ReviewsUPDATE: Bar is closed.Metro-sexual?Babylon/Metro, 820 W. Market St., 330.252.9000 I first went to Babylon when I was a freshman in college. Then I graduated and it became Metro. Now it’s Back 2 Babylon and there is Metro paraphernalia all over the place. This is a bar with an identity crisis. Good thing I love crazy people. The bartenders are always nice here and make your drinks extra strong. They have a hyper-hot martini list and a good selection of bottled beer. There are several rooms in the bar so chances are you can have a few moments of actual conversation with whomever you’re with. The dance floor is tiny, but with the right people, you’ll be sure to dance off a few of those screwdrivers you just downed. The music, loud and remixed, is just what I like, but if you’re part of the “I Hate Remixes” club, keep moving down the block to The Bucket or Annabelle’s. The clientele is a mix of locals and guppies (gay urban professionals) looking to relax. Weekday evenings can be dead, so plan on going on a Friday of Saturday. Like everywhere else in Highland Square, there is no full liquor license, so if you’re a vodka drinker, make other plans when Sunday rolls around. Strongest Drinks in the Square :
