I recently met my buddy at Angel Falls for an evening away from the bars. For those who have never experienced The Falls, it is a unique experience. There is Akron memorabilia on the walls. The place is very kitschy with its brightly painted tables and coffee sack burlap covered chairs. There are oversized chairs and couches throughout the place, so it is a great place to relax with a book on a rainy day or meet with a group of friends. They have tables and chairs outside that allow you to people watch on the nice nights and burn during a nice summer Saturday.

As far as drinks, they have a huge selection of teas. They’re all loose teas so you tea connoisseurs know it’s no Lipton. There have a big variety of flavors syrups so you can have any kind of specialty espresso drink or Italian soda with a unique twist. Their drip coffee is a little bitter to me, but I know some people who absolutely love it. I’ve been getting their mulled cider recently, which I think is my favorite. During the summer, I love to get their smoothies. The green apple smoothie and the mango smoothie are two of my favorites.

Angel Falls also offers a variety of desserts and pastries. I’ve never had any sweet that was bad. They also offer lunches which consist of quiches and salad. They’re really tasty. AF also offers a variety of coffee related paraphernalia such as grinder, mugs, presses and pots. They also offer a variety of gay related products, like bumper stickers, magnets and gag gifts. Recently, they added WiFi, but its super expensive. They’re testing a Highland Square WiFi network that is free to everyone, so bring your laptop or PDA and enjoy some free internet while you can. If you’re looking for a good caffeine-based-time, check it out. 3 1/2 blimps.
