Akron ShoppingWhere Vintage & Modern MergeThere's this great little shop in my neighborhood of Highland Square... it's called Revival. It's a "resale boutique," or as the common folk would call it, a used clothing store. But I feel that both of those labels are selling it short. Because Revival is so much more... let's start with the window displays. They all scream, "buy this outfit and you're friends, strike that, everybody will drool over you." The ever-changing displays entice you to peek inside the store (just go in!) and if you do you'd never guess anything in there is used. That's because of the very hip modern decor of the store. But enough about what Revival looks like, here's why I love it... Inside, you'll find great vintage fashion for men & women. Pants, tops, shoes, purses - it's all here. And it's all awesome. And cheap. I once bought a gorgeous pair of shoes there for less than I'd spend on a latte! Another pair I bought was less than $10 and I got immediate comments on their cuteness. And don't let the term vintage get you down, everything here will meld perfectly into a modern girl's (or guy's) wardrobe (assuming you're not completely fashion deficient in the first place). And it's not all used... there are great new bags and accessories. Not to mention, those genius Rubber City Clothing Company t-shirts. You must know someone who needs a "Save Rolling Acres" tee, right? But wait there's more! Like the light hanging in the window? Buy one here. There are lots of other new home products, like shot glasses and some very cool wooden vases. And even some great retro kitchenware. I could go on and on but I won't. Just trust me on this one... Revival is worth the trip. Ability to fill my closet w/cheap shoes: |
